Kelly Finnegan

Kelly Finnegan has always had a deep-rooted passion for working with older adults. Her journey began in high school when she volunteered at Morris Hall Nursing Home, where she fell in love with the field of aging services. As the youngest of nine children, Kelly played a hands-on role in helping care for both of her parents as they aged in place—an experience that gave her firsthand insight into the profound rewards and emotional complexities of caregiving.

Kelly earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University and brings over 25 years of diverse experience in the healthcare field. Her professional background spans long-term care, assisted living, and community-based programs. She has held impactful roles within county government, non-profit organizations, and the insurance industry. Throughout her career, Kelly has been a trusted educator, developing and delivering programs to support caregivers and to demystify complex systems like Medicare and Medicaid. She is widely respected for her ability to explain medical, governmental, and insurance jargon in language that is accessible and easy to understand.

Known for both her fierce advocacy and compassionate approach, Kelly brings a holistic lens to her work—focusing not only on the client, but on the entire family system. She is deeply committed to empowering caregivers and ensuring that older adults receive dignified, person-centered care.

Kelly lives in Hopewell with her husband, two college-aged sons, and their dog, Ginger. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, crafting, and gathering with her large extended family, which currently includes 21 grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
