Chris Santoro, MA Human Services

Chris Santoro holds a Master’s Degree in Human Service Administration from Rider University and brings over three decades of dedicated service to the field of social work. He retired in 2024 after a 34-year career with the Mercer County Board of Social Services.
Chris began his career as a Case Worker, gaining in-depth knowledge of County, State, and Federal social service programs. He was later promoted to Social Worker, where he worked closely with at-risk youth, supported child wellness initiatives, and provided critical family emergency assistance.
For the remaining 16 years of his career, Chris served as the supervisor of Mercer County’s Adult Protective Services (APS) program. In this role, he led a team of Social Workers and Investigators providing essential support to vulnerable adults and seniors facing abuse, neglect, or exploitation. His leadership and expertise in social service systems made a lasting impact on the community.
Joining Aging Advisors is a natural continuation of Chris’s lifelong commitment to helping others. He is excited to support seniors and their families while bringing his extensive knowledge and compassionate approach to his new team.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys family dinners, holiday gatherings, and spending time with lifelong friends from his old neighborhood. He most values time with his wife and two grown children and credits his vibrant 89-year-old mother—still active and engaged—as his daily inspiration and a reminder of the importance of honoring and supporting older generations.
